Courtyard Pittsburgh Airport Settlers Ridge

I stayed for five days and four nights, and my bill was over $900. At checkout I found I’d been charged more than $16 per night to park my vehicle. When they asked at check-in if I had a vehicle, I said yes, but that was the end of the conversation. At that price, you’d think parking would be included. Where else am I supposed to keep my car? I’d visited years ago and loved the hotel, which is why I came back. This time the cleanliness and hospitality were very good, but there was no complimentary breakfast and no microwave in the room. I’m a government employee and couldn’t use my government discount, though I’m not sure why.

My girls had a good time in the pool. The room was really clean and comfortable, the beds were comfortable too, and the staff were nice. I also liked that checkout isn’t until noon.

Garbage was scattered around the parking lot and landscaping, the trash cans were overflowing, and there was trash in both the elevators and hallway. The bed looked as if someone had already lain on it. If I owned the franchise, I’d be horrified. This was a disgusting pig sty and way below what I expect from the Courtyard brand. Other than that, five stars!

The price was far too high for a hotel without free breakfast, and the bistro food was overpriced for the amount and quality. The bedding was dirty and stained. Service was rude and slow, and sometimes no one was around at the front desk. They couldn’t even clear snow and ice from the sidewalks at that price. The small lobby store didn’t have toiletries, either. I’ve had better stays at a Motel 6. By far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
