Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square

The lobby looks beautiful, but that didn't make up for the rest of the stay. We were on a road trip and stopped last night, expecting something great, but the $34 parking charge was a surprise. Breakfast cost $20, wasn't included, and was very average, not worth the price. The rooms looked modern, though some paint was peeling. We had two rooms, one AC unit made the room freezing overnight and the other didn't work at all. Trains passed all night and we could hear them. Wouldn't recommend it, and I won't book again.

The room was clean and good, and the lobby has a great view, though the view from some rooms can be tricky. I was here for a conference, and some of the doors into the rooms were very noisy. If someone came in during a speech, the sound could be disruptive. Please fix that.

The rooms were very nice and the view was wonderful, with a convenient location too. I had to wait a while at the front desk, and when we tried to check out, the employees seemed to ignore us because they were busy talking to each other. Maybe there was an emergency, though. No judgment.

The lounge was closed most of the time, and they wouldn't even let you use it to work somewhere private. My first room had water coming up through the bathroom floor. It took two complaints and me asking to change rooms before they moved me, even though staff said one of their “engineers” would look at it. My pregnant wife was with me, and it felt extremely unsafe. In the second room, there was hair all over the sheets. The temperature also wouldn't go below 67°, which didn't suit either of us as cold sleepers. I've stayed at enough Marriotts to know the hotel could change that setting easily, but chose not to. As a Titanium member, I did get an upgrade, the breakfast was very good, and most staff were nice and accommodating. I couldn't speak with a manager about any of it. The hotel has potential, but I probably wouldn't stay here again.
