From the pre-arrival messages through checkout, our weekend in town for the NFL Draft with friends went really well. Everyone was warm and welcoming. I remember Shannin at the desk, though I wish I could recall more names to thank. Housekeeping were quiet and respectful each day, and one gentleman kept the lobby and breakfast area sparkling. He clearly took pride in his work. The team seemed to genuinely enjoy being there, which usually says something about the leadership. I look forward to staying here next time I'm in Pittsburgh.

Our family needed a place to stay in mid-March while a loved one had surgery at UPMC Mercy. A surgery secretary there suggested this property as a nearby option and said we could ask about a medical rate. On our first call, Samela, who later said she was the GM, was considerate and seemed eager to help. We asked to call back within 24 hours after checking plans with family. She agreed to hold the $85 rate plus tax for that period, took our club account number, and said she'd email confirmation. No email came. We called the next day within the agreed window to reserve three rooms for different lengths of stay, from one to six nights. The quoted rate had become $120 per room. When I reminded her of the $85 agreement, she said, “The computer updated, sorry.” She then said she might be able to offer a discount once she saw what we were ordering. With a major surgery to plan around, we needed reliability and clear information. Changing the rate and not honoring what was promised felt disappointing and unprofessional. We cancelled because we didn't want the family worrying about lodging during an already stressful time. The initial call also didn't mention a $22 parking fee, which would have been helpful to know in advance. Clear communication and keeping commitments matter in situations like this, and this experience left us without confidence in booking.

Samela helped make my Pittsburgh layover comfortable. The staff were accommodating and professional, housekeeping went above and beyond, and the rooms had plenty of space. Breakfast was great too. I hope to stay here again on my next trip to the area.

We chose this place because we could walk to PPG arena and enjoyed our stay. Parking and breakfast were included, the hotel was quiet, and we slept well in a comfortable bed.
