The hotel is in a great, revitalized area, with friendly, attentive staff. Breakfast was great, and the rooms and the rest of the property were well kept. I usually don’t care for SpringHill brand Marriotts because so many aren’t maintained well, but this one is. Well worth it. The gym is easily the best I’ve come across in a hotel. It has a deadlift platform, Rogue power rack and equipment, a Concept2 rower, and a Rogue Echo bike. As legit as it gets.

The rooms are decent, clean, and welcoming, and you’re close to pretty much everything in Pittsburgh, including downtown, Southside, Oakland, and the highways. Just know the hotel is less than 100 yards from active train tracks. They seemed to run more at night than during the day, so good luck if that bothers you.

The room was clean, and the desk girl was pretty cool. But the website says there’s a pool and hot tub, and neither exists anymore, which was a big letdown. A train right outside woke us three times between 11 pm and 7 am, blaring its horn too. The shower almost gets hot enough. Also, what kind of hotel room doesn’t have lotion?

The location was convenient, with lots of food choices nearby and a parking garage if you’d rather not park on-site. Breakfast was included, the staff were friendly, and the place was clean. The gym was really nice and well equipped.

Linda at the front desk gave wonderful service, and the room was immaculate, with a fully loaded TV. It’s a quiet area on the far side of the city along the Allegheny River. If you get a room at the back of the building, be prepared for several trains at night.
