The grounds were a mess, with leaves and weeds everywhere and garbage left by the dumpsters for weeks. They also don't tell residents about work in advance. Painters once blocked entry and exit to my building from 9am to 5pm without notice. If I hadn't heard them, I would've been stuck inside and missed my classes and meetings. The property manager was never on site and didn't answer the phone. An 'Out of Office until 9am Wednesday' sign stayed on the door for three months. When I moved in, the apartment was disgusting and the AC didn't work. There was a dirty sponge left under the sink, one closet door was broken, and another closet had no doors at all. I could live with that, but getting anyone to fix things was impossible. We called emergency maintenance and were told someone would get back to us. Three days later, nothing. It was mid-August, and the apartment reached 90°. Even a call to say no one could come until Monday would've helped. Someone only showed up because my dad happened to walk into a meeting with the maintenance guys. They installed two temporary AC units, then left them there even after the AC had been fully replaced. They were still in the apartment when I moved out. For what this place costs, it's very disappointing. The complex is run down, getting maintenance scheduled is hard, and the property manager is impossible to reach.

It’s embarrassing inviting people over now because the complex looks like Trap Houses. When I moved in a couple of years ago it looked nothing like this. Weeds have overgrown everywhere for a long time, and the dog park is full of them and bugs. Its fence is rusty and doesn't even work anymore. This place could be one of the nicest in the area, but they've let it go. I'm using an alias because I don't know what management might do if they saw this.

We just moved into Lofts at Terrain in mid October 2025, after looking at lots of apartments. This is my rundown as of 10/31/2025, and I'll update it over the coming months. Inside, it's been quiet so far. I'm a light sleeper and have only been woken by the cats. We're in bed earlier than most, so that's appreciated. Our front door only closes flush when deadbolted, otherwise a lot of air gets in. The upstairs closet doors were a joke, they didn't slide or even touch the track, so we took them off and put them under the bed. The downstairs bi-fold handle was broken, but I fixed it with washers. The showers had been used but weren't bad. I had to reattach the downstairs shower rod because it was pulling out of the wall. The cleaning crew gets a C, though nobody cleans like we do ourselves. There were no big holes or missing bulbs, all appliances work, and the HVAC works. There are some rough spots, which you expect in apartments. We still need to test the fireplace this winter. Outside, I agree with the recent comments about upkeep. I can see they're trying, and I know it's hard, but wood rot, paint, concrete, and landscaping are showing their age. The dog park is disappointing, so we've avoided it. All the windows need cleaning on the outside, though I'm not sure if that's our responsibility or the complex's. Some outside lights are so dim they might as well be off, though it's mostly not an issue for us. The move-in was easy, and Chris has been great. The dog wash is wonderful and works well, but hardly anyone uses it. Laundry is clean and everything works, though a card system would be much easier than coins. The exercise room is great, and hardly anyone uses that either. All in all, we're happy with the apartment, complex, parking, location, Birgo, and the process. There are plenty of worse places out there, and the initial price and rent are reasonable for us.

The apartments are a bit dated, which is why I gave four stars, but my studio was just fine. I spent two periods at Lofts at Terrain, from April to December 2021 and again from June 2022 through January 2023. I think the property dates to the mid-90s, though I'm not sure when it was built, so some updates or replacements are to be expected. The walls were a little thin, and one downstairs neighbor sometimes turned his TV up too loud at night, but otherwise I had no issues. My neighbors were nice, too, and the location is close to both highway on-ramps, making it easy to get to work or elsewhere. Lindsay took over as property manager around the end of 2021. When I returned in June 2022, she'd clearly been working hard on improvements. Flowers were planted by the leasing office, the parking lot was repaved that summer, and the retaining walls in front of the apartments were repaired. I also knew plans were in the works to replace the stairs. Lindsay and the maintenance guys were always very helpful when anything came up, and my security deposit was returned quickly. I moved back to Terrain from overseas in 2022, and Lindsay made the process as stress-free as possible given I was moving from thousands of miles away. I'd gladly stay at Terrain again if I had the chance, and would give Lindsay five stars if I could.

After about a year at lofts of Terrain, I've watched the place decline. Since late spring, upkeep around the property has dropped off badly. Management seems to let the lot fill with commercial vehicles and vehicles that aren't road legal, without addressing it. The apartment itself has badly patched walls, and the door lets in the wind because it doesn't seal. This place could be great, but it needs attention. They still make sure to collect rent every month, whether anything gets fixed or not.
