The place was dirty. There was a long black hair still in the tub, and though I checked for bed bugs and thankfully didn’t see any, the mattress seemed to be from 1985. There’s no front desk person, or at least no one came out. I had to call the number at the desk and fill out the form twice because they said it hadn’t gone through, even though it definitely had on my end. Then they gave me a code to get my one key from a locker. The elevator was out with no warning. I could manage the stairs, so that wasn’t a big deal for me, but it could be for someone else. There were tiny rubber bands all over the stairs, if you know what I mean. I’m local and booked because my breaker box exploded, and it was February. But it was a mild night, so we went home after charging our devices. Honestly, beware. It might be better than freezing outside if you have nowhere else to go, but if you’re only trying to save $20, I’d spend the extra $20.

That indoor garage was a huge help with the snow and bad weather. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were great. There’s also a tidy, accessible dining space shared by guests close to our room, which was a nice surprise. I’ll definitely come back.

The underground parking was a nice perk, and the hotel is about 15 minutes from downtown, the stadiums, and the Strip. We came from NJ for a football game. Nearby, there are plenty of places to eat, plus a gas station with a mini-mart half a block away. The outdoor tables were a pleasant place to sit, and the room had a small fridge. The hotel is being updated, and it was clean and inexpensive, so it works if all you need is a place to sleep. I’m not sure whether larger trucks fit in the garage. The service problems made for a rough night. We’d confirmed earlier that I had booked two nights, but communication among staff was poor. After 9 pm, we came back and couldn’t get into our room, and nobody was at the desk. The instructions said to call the number on the office door, but the phone just rang in the empty office. We ended up going into the office, which didn’t feel right, and calling numbers we thought belonged to employees. Someone answered and said there was another key in a safe, but that key didn’t work. She eventually sent someone to make us a new room card. We were stuck for about 20 minutes after a long day, and nobody apologized. The elevator was also out of order. We were on the third floor, and with a limp from my hip replacement, the stairs were difficult.

For the price, this was better than I expected. It’s a basic, no-frills place, so keep your expectations realistic; it isn’t a Hilton. Getting into the city took an easy 10-minute Uber ride, and street or garage parking was simple. My room was clean, including the bed, and the TV had streaming. The staff were kind: they let me check in early even though my room wasn’t ready yet, then moved my room’s cleaning up the list so I could get in sooner. A good value if you’re visiting and don’t want to spend two to four times as much.

The recent reviews had me expecting something better, and I do wonder if they’re fake. Our group checked in, then left right away and gave up the cost of the first night. The staff were nice, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you have no other choice, bring your own bedding and expect very little.
