Beaver Valley Lodge

A clean little place with the amenities it says it has. The countryside is lovely, and there’s a grocery store next door. Just beyond it, The Old Mill Cafe has a great breakfast and friendly staff. A serviceable spot.

We ended up staying in Plain instead of making the twenty-minute drive to Leavenworth. There was plenty to do right nearby: we walked ten minutes to Plain Cellars for tastings and dinner, and the Plain ski trails start across the street, with over 20 miles of groomed trails from the motel doorstep. We could also drive quickly to the Lake Wenatchee trail system. The general store had our ski passes, and mill cafe served an amazing, filling breakfast. The hotel itself was clean and cute, and we were especially charmed by the town. It made a perfect base for our cross-country ski weekend, and Plain was a destination in itself.

Loved how quiet and peaceful it was. The rooms are bigger than most hotel rooms, and they include a little kitchenware, like glasses and cutlery. The pillows were really comfortable and the towels so soft. It's a great place to stay within easy reach of Leavenworth.

We stayed in the big house, which had lots of room for our group. The floors left our feet black, though, so the cleaning could be better. We just kept our shoes on, and it didn't ruin the trip. The quiet, out-of-the-way setting is what I love, and the little stores next door are convenient and fun to browse. I'd stay again.
