They called our room on checkout day to tell us how much time we had left, really? Breakfast had already shut down before its posted end time. When we got back from an outing, our key wouldn’t open the room, and we waited 30 minutes for someone to come down and sort it out. The shower light had no cover, which looked like a fire or electric shock risk. We asked them to change the sheets and were told they don’t do that until checkout, which is stupid. The ice machine didn’t work either. This place was horrible. If I could’ve given it no stars, I would have.

The stained bed cover had cigarette burns, and the sheets were stained too. On the king bed, the king pillows were in standard-size covers, leaving a third of each yellow-stained pillow exposed. We were the only customers there, but they had nothing better to offer, so we left. We’d read the reviews when booking, and they must have been posted by the owners. This place was so bad we couldn’t stay. Hopefully we can get our money back. Don’t even think about staying here.

The parking was quiet and well lit, and there were plenty of stores and restaurants within a mile. The location worked well for me since I didn’t want to risk my safety by staying farther into town. The old man at the desk was nice, maybe he’s the owner. The room was cool and did what I needed for one night, though the property and rooms are old and could use a complete remodel. It’s a privately owned ma and pa place, not a Hilton, and with rooms starting at $40, you should know what to expect. Bring your own face towels and pillow like I did, and I’d suggest shower shoes or flip flops in the room and shower. I can’t say I won’t stay here again. If you’re bougie and can’t rough it for one night at a 2 star motel, this isn’t for you.

The ceiling in the bathroom was hanging down when we got up in the morning, and you could see the pipes and everything inside it. Bugs and critters were crawling around the bathroom and room as soon as we opened the door and turned on the lights. The place wasn’t clean, the building was falling apart, and the customer service was unfriendly, almost rude. The owners blamed my children, saying they were bad kids and had torn up the room, but that wasn’t true. We were seven minutes past checkout while getting our belongings out and they wouldn’t return our lousy $10 deposit. Thankfully, one of the owners apparently had a change of heart or something and came over to offer the $10 back. All the ice machines were broken, no vending or soda machines worked, and the pool wasn’t open.
