The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and I slept well in the very comfortable bed. The room felt fresh and inviting, with the little details in good shape. It was clean, thoughtfully laid out, and well maintained, and the staff clearly take pride in the property. Service was warm, friendly, and professional throughout. Each interaction felt personal, and check-in and checkout were easy and stress-free. This was one of the cleanest and best-run hotels I’ve stayed at. I’d gladly return and recommend it to friends and family.

We spent a weekend night here and were really impressed by the sweet little cabin. It was clean, cozy, just the right size for two, and had a comfortable mattress, mini fridge, microwave, and plenty of bathroom towels. The owner was very sweet and easy to work with, making it a lovely quiet getaway for couples. It’s a rural spot, beautiful and peaceful, but restaurants, grocery stores, and Walmart are about a 20-minute drive away. There’s a Dollar General and Family Dollar nearby, so bring some groceries if you’d rather not head out. We’d definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.

The people here are some of the kindest and most welcoming I’ve met in Tennessee. I’m from Texas, and they’ve given me good advice and told great stories. They listen when I babble, and they like to keep things clean just like I do. Right now the check-in office looks like Christmas, with lots of twinkling lights that take me back to childhood, plus hot chocolate, coffee, and water.

We were there this past weekend to visit my son and got to meet the owner, Melissa. At 9 pm she brought a corkscrew right to our room. The cabin was super clean and had lovely little touches. I’m thankful we got to meet Melissa and share stories with her. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

We were traveling for business and found The Bear Inn Retreat so nice, clean, and cozy. The owner, Melissa, was super nice and made the place feel homey, like family. Everyone made sure customers were looked after, and the kindness was sweet. If you go to Clifton TN, stay at The Bear Inn Retreat. We also visited the Clifton Marina, where everyone was very friendly and you won’t meet a stranger. A big thank you to Amber Lee at the Clifton Marina. You were amazing! Steve & Cheryl Pegram
