The front desk was slow throughout, and housekeeping was only acceptable, without much attention to detail. I found toilet paper already in the bathroom bin when we arrived. I reported it, though I'm not sure anything was done. I leave a tip each day, so I expect more care. We booked expecting a real river view, but got a mediocre partial one. Valet cost $50 a night, and the other parking was about a block and a half away. I chose valet, but one evening, when I called for the car, they asked if I wanted to get it myself because it was two blocks down. That felt hard to believe at premium valet prices. The view and the stay didn't meet expectations, so we cut our visit from three nights to two and moved elsewhere. For the rate and brand, I expected a lot more.

On my second stay here, the hotel again surpassed what I expected. The front desk team deserves special mention. Shamaree, Nettie, and Quiencey were welcoming, professional, and helpful the whole time. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless and well cared for, and the location made it easy to get around. I'll keep choosing this hotel when I'm in the area, and I highly recommend it.

I travel to The AC Marriott Savannah often for business, and the service has been consistently above standard. Nettie and Quincy at the front desk are flexible and always willing to help with requests, which makes me feel valued. Seeing them treat other guests just as well adds to my experience. The hotel is clean, from the high and low dusting to the vents and sheets. Once, early in my stay, I noticed a washcloth with a dryer burn mark, but they brought fresh towels up right away. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms keep noise out so you can sleep or have privacy. A really nice stay, and AC Savannah sets the standard.

We paid nearly $400 a night for Room 405 at the AC Hotel Savannah Historic District, and the electrical problem was never properly resolved. Four of us checked in at 3:13 PM on March 7, 2026, for my sister's 65th birthday, and left at 9:44 AM the next day. After returning from dinner at 6:30 PM, we found several lights, outlets, and the TV weren't working, leaving only part of the room lit. Maintenance reset the breaker, which brought the power back temporarily. It tripped again during the night, and for the rest of our stay the room was essentially unusable apart from the bathroom and entryway lights. The lamps, outlets, and TV stayed out. No one offered us another room, a proper apology, or any refund, adjustment, or compensation. We got no meaningful response from staff or management. For nearly $400 a night, I expect a working room and responsive management when something goes wrong. Instead, we spent the night dealing with an unresolved electrical failure. This was one of my most disappointing hotel stays, especially for a Marriott International property. The problem overshadowed what should have been a special birthday weekend, and a celebration shouldn't mean sitting in a dark room. When I wrote this, the hotel still hadn't tried to make things right. I hope management reviews what happened and contacts us about this substandard experience. I'm sharing it so other travelers know what we encountered.

Mariana kept checking that we had what we needed and coordinated every detail smoothly. Thad and his valet team greeted our guests efficiently and warmly, while George and the operations crew set up the space beautifully and supported us during the event. The AC Hotel was new and had a modern, sophisticated feel. Our event there was exceptional, and we look forward to returning for a leisure trip instead of business.
