Our company uses Marriott as its preferred hotel for events and travel, but interactions like this affect our trust. The facility is very nice, clean, convenient, and accommodating, and the staff overall are amazing. Still, on three separate occasions, the night bartender was extremely rude, dismissive, and out of line. If this is how she consistently treats people, she shouldn’t be in a customer-facing role. The first two times I asked for basic things, a plate and later a cup. She was sitting at the guest tables on her computer and acted like I was bothering her. I told the front receptionists both times, and they politely apologized and said to ask them instead. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she might be having a rough day, and moved on. Tonight was different. About 30 of us had just finished a meeting in our reserved conference room. Some were eating in the lobby, others were on laptops, and our belongings were neatly on one long table. When she started her shift, she began yelling that we were “making a mess,” interrupting an important conversation, though everything was contained to that one table and we were guests using the space. We calmly said we were using the table and would clean up when done, but she kept arguing. When we asked for a manager, she said, “Go ahead, she’s not going to do anything,” and walked away talking to herself in front of our employees and other guests. Everyone has personal challenges, and she may be going through something, but this behavior reflects directly on Marriott.

I won’t be staying here again on business trips. The service and attentiveness were excellent, but the beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows barely supported my neck, leaving it sore throughout the stay. The doors are extremely heavy and slam shut, making noise day and night. Sometimes the slamming woke me up in the middle of the night.

A typical courtyard stay, clean and spacious with all the basics you’d expect. The drawbacks were the mattress being too soft, with the coils pressing against my back and making it hard to sleep comfortably. The old individual AC unit was too loud.

A nice, clean, quiet place, and very affordable. The deposit is just $20, less than at any other hotels. There’s good, well-lit parking and even a free open-air parking garage. The front desk is very accommodating. It’s close to restaurants and places to grab drinks, so it’s convenient even if you don’t mind a ten-minute walk. Breakfast costs extra, but there’s free coffee in the room. They also have basic snacks, soda pop, and microwave dinners if you’re starving.
