Ramada Limited Plano

Please don't let your children play outside the room, and watch where you walk: there was a syringe under our window. The room was filthy, with sticky stuff left all over the side table by the previous guest. When we called the desk, the man rudely told us to check out if we didn't like it. Management apologized the next morning and said they'd have it cleaned, but the maid didn't wash the tables and made our bed with the same sheets even after I asked for clean ones. I wouldn't stay at this Ramada or any other, and I don't recommend this one. Travelocity should take it off its website.

I've stayed at the cheapest places while traveling as a musician. Just two days ago, I happily ate pizza I'd saved from a trash can, so I'm not judging from some high horse. Even so, this is the worst hotel I've stayed in. The room reeks of mildew, and I can't get rid of the smell. The sheets are damp from all the moisture. The breakfast bar was so gross I couldn't eat anything, despite my standards. Maybe it'd suit someone just out of prison or back from a long stay in a third-world country. A homeless person might prefer a bench.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the woman working the morning shift. The bedding was clean, we saw no bugs, and the lobby was pretty nice, with a self-serve breakfast bar. Still, the place felt shabby and run down. The hall carpet was stained and dirty, and the old room had stains, a chipped table and door, and needed refurbishing. There was an odd chemical smell, maybe from heavy-duty cleaning products, but it didn't smell pleasantly clean. The Wi-Fi never let me connect, and the business center, just a table, chair, and computer against a lobby wall, was out of order. They seemed to have construction going on at the other end of the hall, so maybe things will improve.

I spent about a month here after moving from GA, while remodeling was underway. The staff were knowledgeable and superb, and made sure I had everything I needed. They also arranged daily room cleaning and fresh sheets and towels. The newly renovated rooms and bathrooms look beautiful, and they did an awesome job. My experience at Ramada Inn has been great.
