Best Western Plaquemine Inn

There are roaches in the bathroom, and the A/C isn’t working properly. They’re sending someone to spray, but they can’t move me because they’re full tonight. I’d leave, but every other hotel nearby is booked. I’m disgusted. Thank goodness I’m only here for one night.

We came to Plaquemine to visit friends and picked this place because it was convenient. The room was acceptably clean, but the bed was so bad I could feel the springs, and as a disabled person I barely slept. The shower was broken and only had hot water, so I had to use my friend’s room. If we ever stay here again, I’ll bring a memory foam topper. I used to travel often, and one saved me from many sleepless nights.

The staff were wonderful. Mr Free handled the reservation, and Mrs Whylithia answered all our questions at check-in and had our room ready at 10:00 am. I was impressed by how clean the floors were, how neatly the towels were set out in the bathroom, and how comfortable the bed was. There was also an iron and ironing board, a blow dryer, a refrigerator, and a coffee pot. I highly recommend this hotel.

At $150 a night plus a $50 deposit, I won’t be coming back. The shower wouldn’t drain, the toilet barely flushed, and people right outside my window played loud music. I was told nothing could be done about it until the noise ordinance took effect. There’s also a train passing right nearby a couple of times an hour, so if you like trains, this is the place for you.
