We bring a group of 20 guys here every summer for a Ryder Cup style weekend, and the price is hard to beat. The four-person cabins have full kitchens, so we can bring our own food and drinks. There’s also a beverage cart making the rounds on weekends, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The private beach is a nice extra, good for young kids or a lake dip on a hot day after golf. The course can be rough at certain times of year, but I’d compare it to any public course. Great value for this kind of group weekend. Highly recommend.

We weren’t holding up play or causing a disturbance, but the owner has been passive aggressive on more than one visit. It feels like people in the cabins can do whatever they want, while other golfers get called out. The front nine is full of cabin players, often with four or five carts in a group, apparently because they stay on the hole. Promoting the cabins while letting that happen doesn’t seem fair, especially when other groups are confronted for having more than two carts. You can’t come near this course without feeling like every penny is being squeezed out of your pocket. Poor management. On one visit, we were golfing as four people in three carts. Two were in the first cart, one in the next, and someone joined late in a third cart around the 12th hole. Since that hole is farthest from the clubhouse, I got my own cart and met them rather than making the solo player come get me and disrupting the pace. Near the end of the 17th hole, we were told a group couldn’t have three carts.

A nice long weekend on the course, and we could keep the carts. The course was good quality. There’s only a microwave and small fridge, with no other kitchen supplies, so plan for that. There wasn’t any cleaning during our stay, though that didn’t bother us.

I hadn’t planned to play golf, but the course was so beautiful that I ended up booking a round for the next day. The scenery and service made the whole stay feel special, and I’m already looking forward to returning. The resort sits right in the middle of a stunning golf course. On arrival, I parked at reception, put my luggage on a golf cart, and got a ride straight to my room. It was a fun, refreshing way to start a unique and unforgettable stay.

The views over Champlain lake and the Adirondacks were beautiful, with lots of nice holes. It was still a fun course, even though all the rain that week had left it a little wet.
