The room smelled awful, like strong spices mixed with fish, almost like an Indian restaurant. They said no double queen rooms were left and didn’t offer an upgrade or two separate rooms to make it work. When I asked for a discount, the front desk girl who checked us out acted like she didn’t care and said, “I’ll MENTION it to the manager.” More than 1,000 women come to a conference in Grove City every year. We’ll make sure the organization knows to list this place as somewhere NOT to stay.

We booked two rooms for our family, but when we arrived they weren’t together. We were told the hotel was full. My son’s key didn’t work because, staff said, the battery in the door was broken. Every time he needed to get back in, he had to find staff and wait for them to open it. The Friday night clerk said she’d let staff know the next day and that there would be some adjustment to our charge. At checkout on Saturday, August 2nd, the clerk acted as if she’d never heard about the door. She interrupted me while I explained and said the lock had worked fine the day before, as though nothing was wrong. She said they couldn’t adjust the charge and I’d have to take it up with the third-party booking agent. She didn’t apologize or explain what I could do, she was a jerk. If this is how management treats people, we won’t be back.

I usually rave about this place, but this visit was a letdown. The room wasn’t very clean, and it felt like the bed had just been remade without fresh linen. There were no towels, so I asked three times and eventually had to go get them myself. I also found toilet paper stuffed into the peephole, apparently left by the previous resident. Attention to detail matters to me, and that wasn’t cool.

Shopping, Safari, and some fantastic restaurants were close by, and we had such a good time. The place was cozy, affordable, and very clean. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. This was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had, and we’ll definitely come back. Five stars plus, and thanks to you all for the hospitality ❤️
