Quality Inn Pleasant View

The staff were fairly friendly, but the room was too dirty for the price, which was way too high. There was a huge gap around the door, dog food still on the carpet, hair in the bathroom, a sink front that looked like it hadn’t been wiped in a long time, and visibly dirty bed skirts. I had to ask for a replacement blanket because mine was stained. I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel, but circumstances meant we couldn’t travel farther.

The room was huge, and that walk-in shower was incredibly spacious, probably big enough for four people. The pillows were too soft for me. Water pressure was just okay, and there was calcium buildup on the shower head, which might have affected it, but I’m not sure. Breakfast was phenomenal, one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. There were two waffle makers, one for a big waffle and one for four small ones, plus omelets, seasoned potatoes, smoked sausage, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, and coffee with hazelnut, French vanilla, and regular creamers. I had no cups in the room, and the shower’s body wash was empty. Those are pretty minor complaints, though, and I managed. I don’t usually write hotel reviews because they tend to be much the same, but I travel for work and stay in a lot of them. If I’m in Pleasant View again, I’m definitely coming back.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, especially the beds, and the quiet made it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, from arrival through checkout, and went out of their way to take care of what we needed. We felt welcome right away.

It was a bit noisy, but the breakfast was above average. The rooms felt cozy and warm, and you could get cool air too if that’s what you wanted.
