Tri Valley Inn & Suites

This little motel holds up pretty well, and we'd stay again. The front desk is friendly and the rooms are clean. There's a microwave and fridge, which is a nice touch, and the beds were comfortable, if a bit squeaky. The bathrooms have shower stalls only, but that's okay. The laminate floors are cold, so an area rug would be a nice addition. The furniture could use an upgrade, since the finish was peeling off the nightstands and desk. Three stars doesn't mean I hate you.

My family and I have found a little gem, and when we come back to the Bay Area, we won't stay anywhere else. As a professional DJ traveling all over the United States, I have plenty of choices, including big names like Embassy Suites, Hyatt, and Hilton. We've gotten amazing service every time, and the rooms have been clean and tidy. On our most recent visit, Sarah helped us and showed exactly what great customer service looks like. Even though she was overwhelmed because they were short-staffed, a problem across the United States, she kept her big, bright smile. Thanks to the whole team for making us feel comfortable in our home away from home. That starts with a great management team leading by example. Cheers!

The WiFi didn't work, and nobody seemed able to fix it. I needed to work overnight, but at 8 p.m. the front desk woman suggested I find a coffee shop. She blamed the problem on my phone or computer, even though another customer was having the same issue. She also refused my request for a refund or to cancel the reservation. The room and bathroom felt like a two- or three-star inn, smelled unpleasant, and had a dead fly on the table. There was no service-minded attitude at all. It's been quite bothersome. If you need service or cleanliness, I'd advise staying away.

The room was clean, parking was easy, and there's a nice pool on site. The service was warm and friendly too. I left my sunglasses at reception, and the woman kindly held onto them and returned them to me.
