I travel around Wisconsin for work and usually have good stays at Best Westerns, but this Plover hotel was one of the worst places of any brand I’ve been to. My company even paid for a higher quality room because the trip was last minute. The sheets were stained, the pillows smelled sweaty, and the jetted tub had cracks that let water leak onto the tile. The breakfast area was filthy, and the desk clerk wouldn’t help with questions beyond checking me in and out. I called from my room for clean sheets, but no one answered. I went down for breakfast at 6:10 on Friday and was the first guest there. Nothing was set out yet, and the cleanliness was as bad as the photos show. The orange juice in the catch tray was moldy and gelatinous. No one was at the desk, and the gentleman started setting things out around 6:45. The food he put out came from the microwave in the breakfast area and was still cold. I’d suggest staying somewhere in Stevens Point.

The hot tub was pretty nice, and breakfast was good. I needed help three separate times, and the front desk guy was always quick to assist, so I added an extra star. My first room was near the interstate and really loud. Luckily, I could switch to the other side, where it was quieter. The beds were the main problem. Both rooms had stained sheets. After I got clean ones from the desk and changed them, I found a huge urine stain in the middle of the mattress. Gross. The bed wasn’t comfortable either. I bought a sleeping bag at Walmart and slept pretty well with it on top of the mattress. If a good bed matters most to you, I’d stay somewhere else.

The front desk guys make everything quick and easy. Someone’s always there, so I don’t have to stand around waiting, and they’re really helpful whenever I ask for something. The location is handy too, right across from Quiktrip, so it’s easy to grab snacks at night. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

I stay here often and haven’t had any problems. It’s a quiet place, the housekeepers service my room every day, and I enjoy the breakfast. The front desk staff are friendly and help me with whatever I need. I’ll keep staying here when I’m in town.

For a one-night stay, it was okay, though the standards seemed low. The duvet was clearly dirty or stained, the desk chair was quite worn, and breakfast was very basic.
