Days Inn by Wyndham Plymouth

We had to leave because the smoke smell in our non-smoking room gave us a headache, and there was no way we could stay. The room was freezing, the toilet already had pee and toilet paper in it, and the tank lid didn't fit because it was a different shape. It was easy to find, and service was decent, but the room was enough to make us jump ship.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, with eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, bagels, bacon, and sausage. We stayed here while my wife was working nearby, and this place felt like a hidden gem. The rooms were incredibly clean, with the heat set just right, a light fragrance, white linens, and a deep, firm mattress that felt great on my back. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig with three K-Cups, plus sugar and creamer, all tucked into a nice alcove. The bathroom came with Dove products in larger-than-mini sizes and plenty of towels, though there was no exhaust fan. The bath was decent, nothing special. Oddly, there wasn't a plunger in the room. We were told they keep one downstairs. The low lighting gave the room a nice feel, and it had USB wall outlets, big fluffy pillows, a good-sized TV, and a desk and chair setup. There were also a closet with hangers, an iron and ironing board, and a safe. The satellite TV had every channel you could think of, though getting the receiver and remote figured out was a little tricky. If we're in the area again and this chain, ING, is available, we'd choose it. A very clean, pleasant stay. Solid A.

On my recent visit, they moved me into the room I'd stayed in back in March, and let's just say I wasn't the only one in there. I told the staff and showed them pictures, but they had nothing to say. I won't return, however convenient the location is. Disgusting. I was visiting my aunt, who lives nearby in a retirement home, when I first stayed in March 2025. The place seemed decent for the price and its location. Three weeks ago, I was assigned a room at the back, overlooking a field and, I think, a highway. Its door wouldn't shut or lock properly, and it wasn't sealed tight, as the picture showed. I went to the desk with my concerns and asked for an accessible room since I use a walker. They then gave me the same room I'd had in March.

Helpful, attentive people at the front desk and a comfortable bed made this one of the best budget motels we've stayed at. The rooms were clean, too. If we're traveling through Plymouth again, we'll stay here without hesitation.
