Hampton Inn & Suites Pocatello

We had to cancel our vacation because our 7 month old baby had seizures and was admitted to primary children’s. We tried to get our money back, but the hotel refused to cancel the reservation. We're going through a hard emotional time, and had thought the staff would understand, but they just want the money. My credit card company, the third party booking company, and we ourselves all called to ask them to cancel, and they wouldn't budge. A staff member said the manager would decide and call me to discuss what happened, but he never did. When I called again while he was supposed to be there, the person who answered said there was no point talking to him because the decision was final and we wouldn't get a refund. We're extremely disappointed and can't believe they aren't more empathetic. We understand they have a business to run, but they're a huge hotel chain and can afford to refund our money.

The pool was warm and clean, and the hot tub was huge and very clean. Breakfast was above average for a free meal, with lots of good choices. The lobby also has three coffees, hot chocolate, and hot tea. We had a basic room with a great view. There wasn't a microwave in the room, but there is one downstairs. Loved it, 10/10 recommend, and we'll definitely return.

This was my first stay, and I'd highly recommend it. The location is nice, the room was up to date, and the front desk service was excellent. Breakfast was good, as expected, and one side of the hotel has great views. Parking is free, and you can walk to a gas station and a couple of good restaurants.

Tone (Tony) checked me in and was thorough, polite, and funny. Great job, Tone. The rooms are big and quiet, and the hotel sits on a nice hill overlooking Poca. Breakfast had a nice spread, and for the price this is a great hotel. We held a meeting, and everything was ready early in the conference room. We'll schedule our event here again next year.
