Windswept Motel

We’ve been staying at the Windswept for 40 years and love coming back. The motel is always really clean, the staff are friendly, and it’s in a great spot, with the clean heated pool and the beach just steps away. We’ve just had our yearly September trip to Point Pleasant, and we come in June too. Already looking forward to the next stay!

The view of the waves was great, and the beach is just a very short walk away. There’s plenty to do within walking distance at the boardwalk, plus dozens of things to check out if you drive about five minutes. Before our first visit, everyone I spoke with by phone was so friendly. The rooms were clean and well cared for. We just got home and will definitely be back. Thanks!

We stayed in a second-floor oceanfront room with our one-year-old and three-year-old, and the view was stunning. The location couldn’t be better, and the room was clean enough that I was comfortable letting my one-year-old crawl on the carpet. The decor hasn’t been updated in a long time, but the beds, carpets, and bathroom were all very clean, which made it just right for a budget family vacation. It feels like a hidden gem. We only just discovered Windswept and hope we can return next year. I hope the new owners keep things the same or make just a few updates, because it’d be a shame to lose this place.

There’s no bike rack on the property, and the balcony has no outlet for charging a phone. Not every oceanfront room has an ocean view. I was promised one, but my view was of the dunes and smokers area. Tall tables and chairs on the first-floor balconies could allow partial ocean views.
