Nihi Kai Villas Unit #509

The deck has a great view, and the location is about as good as it gets, with Poipu Beach within walking distance and a large shopping area about a mile away. Eleelee is 25 minutes away and Lihue 45 minutes. Grocery stores nearby sell liquor, but I'd suggest stocking up at Safeway or Costco in Lihue before you arrive. We rented unit 521. It's effectively on the third floor, so getting full suitcases up all those stairs is no fun. The kitchen has almost no nonperishable basics beyond regular coffee, salt, and ground pepper, so bring what you need if you plan to cook. There were no food storage bags or containers, plastic wrap, or foil. Utensils were adequate, the coffee maker was good, and the toaster was questionable. Furnishings and bedding were adequate and comfortable. The decor is dated but usable, and the bedrooms were good. The AC and fans worked well, though the controls take some getting used to. There's a nice small pool.
