The neighborhood was quiet and the view was nice, and the room I ended up in was clean and comfortable. The first room they put me in clearly wasn't ready for guests, though. They told me the second floor isn't maintained in winter, so I'm not sure why I was given a room there to begin with. I wanted to like this place, but service was a real problem. There was almost never anyone at the front desk, and it was hard to get help. When I asked questions or requested payment changes, I got indifference, excuses, warnings about extra charges, and even hostility. It's a small business, which I can sometimes prefer, but notes, special requests, and even the room type booked online weren't honored. I can't recommend it because of the service.

We booked the jetted tub suite for Valentine’s Day at a great price. It was quiet and nicely secluded, especially since we were the only guests there that night. The jets started acting up after about 10-15 minutes, so we'd stop them for a few minutes and turn them back on. Still a nice place, and we'd probably come back for another date night.

The owners are so nice and accommodating, and the room was spacious and clean. As a travel Nurse, that matters, and the bed was really comfortable too. One thing for my fellow Nurses: you can't cook in your room, so leave those travel crockpots at home, lol. I'd absolutely stay here again.

I come to Polk City, Iowa every winter to visit family, and I use Qube Hotel for the two-week stay. The rates are very reasonable for what you get. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, and they're always asking what they can do to make the stay more pleasant. I highly recommend this business.

The lake view made the room feel especially relaxing, and the bed was incredibly comfortable for a restful night. The room was very clean too. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. We had a wonderful stay at Qube Hotel and would definitely return.
