The Davies Family Inn

We spent two days here and had an amazing, peaceful stay. The area and location were so beautiful that I almost want to keep the place to myself, and we already want to come back soon. Just a heads up, the cabins don't really have a kitchen, apart from the big main one. I'm not sure whether you can park inside the gate for every cabin, but ours was right up front, so we parked inside. You just need to close the gate late at night and early in the morning.

The gardens and grounds are big and well kept, and the price is hard to beat. We come to the area a couple of times a year for wine and apples, and Davies inn is always the first place we look for a room. Linda is kind and accommodating. The clean rooms have fireplaces for chilly nights, plus AC for warm weather and heaters when it's cold. It has that rustic cabin feel, and we'll keep staying here whenever we come to placerville.

We had planned a night away without our kids, but had to bring them along. Linda was incredibly accommodating, and the kids had a great time, so we ended up with some really nice family time. We arrived to a fire burning, which made the place feel so cozy. The grounds are beautiful, and inside there's a blend of rustic history and modern updates. My husband and I loved our stay, and I'd definitely recommend the Inn.

I was here for a couple of weeks with a film crew, and this is a really special place. Don't overthink it, you won't be disappointed. When you go into town, get a black chocolate cupcake from Shortys. It's to die for.
