We were shocked to arrive and find a huge hotel under construction right next to the property. We'd booked in April 2023, when it looked like there was no construction. Terry messaged us about the work only an hour before we arrived, saying there could be noise on some mornings. She offered an air purifier to help with the noise, though that would have made more noise too. I understand she had no control over the construction, and she apologized that we hadn't been told earlier. After a year of planning and waiting, though, it was too late for us to change places. I contacted Airbnb and spent hours dealing with them. They offered either to refund the remaining days if we left, or give us $300 credit if we stayed. We were coming from DC and the trip had already cost us a lot, so leaving the next day wasn't an option. I couldn't tell my 9 years old that we had to leave and go back that day. I wish we'd been told sooner so we could find somewhere else, instead of being offered $300 back. Monday through Saturday, it was noisy and dusty outside during the day. We couldn't enjoy the pool or the beach next to the property, and I didn't want my child breathing that in, so we had to go elsewhere during the day. Some people seemed fine being outside, or maybe they just had no choice. For us, it wasn't an option. The location is great, right on the beach, with included parking and easy access. It's an old building in okay condition, and most people were friendly. Condo 3's AC made intermittent noises. The place was clean when we arrived, but not everything inside was. We had ants in the bathroom from day one, as shown in the pictures. I also took a picture of our car outside the room with dust from the construction around it. Condo 3 is a cute, small space in a fantastic location, and an okay size for a small family. Without the construction, it should be a good place to stay.

The location is great, and the host communicated quickly. Our unit, condo 7, was cozy, with a spacious shower, and everything worked normally. We appreciated the beach towels, umbrella, and chairs. The Atlantic Terrace manager even hosed off our car more than once! But the AC unit and shower area in condo 7 needed a deep clean. I have allergies, and the air seemed to affect my health, so we left a night early. My wife was okay, though she doesn't have allergies. In screenshots from videos we took during the stay, the HVAC mini-spilt blower area looked quite dirty, with what seemed like mildew or mold. We didn't test it for mold, but the property owner said she would and would share the results. The air intake filter on top of the mini-spilt was also dirty, with a thick layer that looked like dust and dirt. The shower caulk and grout looked like they had mold, mildew, or something similar. In a few spots, the caulk needed replacing because it no longer sealed the bottom of the shower properly. I also noticed several gaps in the bathroom tile. I'm fairly certain gaps like that can let moisture in and help mold grow, so it needs re-grouting. The kitchen backsplash was quite stylish, but there was a clear gap where it needed proper caulking. I think water could, and probably has, gotten behind it, potentially causing mold growth. There are plenty of nice photos showing how close the place is to the beach and what the space looks like, so I posted screenshots from our videos that show the problems I described. Condo 7 is a cute, cozy space in a fantastic location. If we could be assured it would be deep cleaned before arrival, we'd stay again.

This was our second stay, and it's a great spot. We especially liked the pool and the "backyard on the Beach," where we could sit at one of the tables and have lunch or dinner. Terri is a great host, very communicative, and the unit was spotless when we checked in.

A beautiful place for a getaway, and very, very clean, with great access to the ocean. We've been back five times and look forward to five more. Terri and Steve work to make everything as perfect as they can. Don't miss this gem. Terri, you're the best.
