Best Western Pontiac Inn

Our room was at the far end of the hall by the exit. That would have been fine if it hadn’t smelled of cigarette smoke all night and diesel fuel all morning. Our clothes smelled like both when we left. The evening desk person was extremely hard to understand, but the morning person was much clearer and very friendly.

The front desk agent was very nice, but my request for a suite upgrade as a Diamond Select Member was denied after the manager was called. The hotel was barely occupied, too. I remember how properties treat loyal members, and I won't return or recommend this one. Thanks for nothing, Best Western of Pontiac!

I checked in around 1am on 09/26/2025 and checked out on time on 09/27/2025, but I still haven't received my deposit. The indoor pool was extremely cold, and at four feet all around it isn't ideal for children. At check-in I asked Bhravna about a larger room, comparing a king with a kitchen to a king with an in-room whirlpool. Her accent was very thick and hard for me to understand. I felt misled and would have preferred the open area king with the Whirlpool jacuzzi tub. When I asked to switch, she became extremely rude and unhelpful. I called booking.com, and the man there spoke clear English and tried hard to resolve it. I agreed to pay the $10 difference, but the front desk employee wouldn't budge. Another woman was there briefly, but I didn't get her name. When I walked into the lobby, Bhravna was sitting down and seemed upset that she had to get up.

The hotel staff were fantastic, and I was thoroughly impressed. I’ll most likely stay there again when I come back at Easter. My one complaint is that Sunday breakfast had a very small selection. With what people pay for a room, I think they should put a little more into breakfast, even if it seems like a small thing.
