The beds were so comfortable, and our room felt warm, clean, and cozy. We arrived late to a courtyard full of people watching beetle juice on a huge screen, with fires burning and little igloos set up. As three women traveling on our own, we felt safe and welcome the whole time. We'd seen comments about noise, but it didn't bother us. When the movie ended, we heard the owner remind people to keep it down so guests could sleep. The water took a little while to heat up, though that was understandable in the mountains in October. The staff gave us helpful advice about the area, and the place seemed to be where everyone in town gathered. We wished we could stay another night, especially after hearing a great band was coming the next day. We loved the spooky season touches and would be glad to come back and see those friendly faces again.

The lodge was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and I had a great time there. Fawn and the other owners were down to earth and treated us really well. I got to trade a few guitar songs with Craig, who's a good musician. I'd love to see him play a live show on a Friday. I'll definitely come back, and I highly recommend the place.

My girlfriends and I found Grand View Lodge during a weekend away, when we were looking for somewhere open to get food. The food was delicious, and we stayed for the live music, dancing area, and bonfire. The bartenders and rest of the staff were really nice. We were leaving the next day, otherwise we'd have come back for another night.

We only booked one night and regretted not reserving the other two as well. The rooms are cute, cozy, very clean, and smelled lovely. The staff were welcoming and kind, and even helped carry our heavy cooler upstairs. I highly recommend staying here.

We were a bit unsettled to be assigned a room beside what looked in the photos like an empty patio, but is actually the bar and restaurant. They moved us upstairs, which was much better. The live music wasn't what we wanted with the family at first, but it ended around 8:30 and my husband and I ended up enjoying it. The room was usable and close to downtown, though cleanliness could've been better. The futon my kids slept on had lots of stains. The bathroom shower was rough too, with no light and a curtain that let water onto the floor.
