The room had a hole and an unfinished ceiling around the fire detector, with an exposed electrical panel. The bathroom wasn’t properly stocked: the toilet paper had already been used, and there wasn’t enough tissue. It also smelled like wet dog. The rooms were dirty and the hallways smelled bad, and the common areas weren’t clean either. We were on the third floor when the elevator stopped working, and my husband had to call the service desk to reset it. The front desk staff were friendly at check-in. Breakfast was only bagged items, though hot drinks seemed to be available free all day. There are plenty of laundry machines, and using the app makes it easy to see when your wash is done. The hotel is near stores and restaurants, but even for one night I’d look for a cheaper place nearby with better luck.

Room 416 is a bad choice if you need sleep. All night, an AC-like noise, possibly a stuck fan or bad compressor, rattled for five seconds every thirty seconds. I couldn’t tell whether it came from the room below or the roof, but it vibrated the bed and floor and was louder than the TV beside my head at the desk. Once I finish this review, I’m packing to sleep in my truck, with only 90 minutes until the grab-and-go breakfast. Glad I booked just one night, because I won’t return. There were more than 100 construction vehicles in the lot, many putting out “fragrant” smoke. I got a second buzz just crossing the parking lot, and I’m guessing they’re with the huge Hyundai construction team. The Extended Stay has a decent bed, pillows, TV, recliner, and hot shower if all you need is a place to try to sleep, but it’s pricey for what you get, and there are better options around the airport.

As soon as I opened the door, the room smelled like really nasty soup. Then I saw a lizard run across the floor and a roach crawling there too. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and the shower had dirt and hair in it. I guess it works as somewhere to sleep, but it sure wasn’t clean.

We liked the place overall. The room felt clean and cozy, and we had a lovely view from the window. There was a mini kitchen, and you could watch planes landing, though the room stayed quite quiet. Breakfast was very limited, with only snacks to choose from, but the mini kitchen helped. It’s also a little far from downtown.
