Days Inn by Wyndham Port Angeles

I booked by mistake and called right away to explain. The woman who answered was curt and rude. They refused to stop the charge and billed me the next day. They told me to contact Priceline, but Priceline hadn’t charged me and had cancelled the booking. The hotel charged me after I’d cancelled the day before. I won’t go there, and I do not recommend it.

I booked through booking.com at a fair price, but the charges for my two dogs made no sense to me. At check-in, they took $80 for the dogs, which I thought was a refundable deposit. When I went to the office to extend by two days, they quoted an outrageous $230, so I booked online instead for $155 with tax. Back at the office, they wanted another $80 for the dogs and charged my card $160 for two dogs over four days. Once I got home, I noticed another charge and have no idea what it was for. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. The staff’s deception is real. BE WARNED AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I try to be understanding of local businesses, but save some money and choose a smaller motel. A few things were fine: everything except the floors and shower chair was clean, they asked the right questions and were courteous about my service dog, and the hotel is wheelchair accessible. Even though I booked only two hours ahead, they accommodated my ground-floor room and shower chair request, though the chair looked gross. The toilet had a “sanitized” sheet, but it wasn’t sealed, so a previous guest could have left it there and nobody would know. There was a mild odor when I turned on the heater. I stepped on two pieces of garbage. The toilet drained every 2-3 minutes, and the Wi-Fi booted me off three times; reconnecting took 20 minutes. It’s pet friendly, but the only outdoor garbage bin is at the opposite corner of the property from the office. They don’t offer late checkout, which I only found out when I got locked out halfway through packing, about 30 minutes after checkout time. I’d been too sick to go to the front desk the night before and tried calling instead. THEIR PHONE NUMBER DOESN’T WORK! I made over 10 calls in 24 hours to the number on their website and in-room sheet, and got a busy or disconnected line. They’ve apparently known for weeks and don’t tell anyone.

I live out of hotels, and this place has some of the nicest, most respectable people. It’s in a great location for me, and the price is very respectable. They were accommodating with my dog. I only wish places like this were there every time I started a new job site.
