Best Western Port Aransas

We usually book an Airbnb, but this was a great choice for a short spring break trip. The king suite kitchen was well stocked, the heated pool was great, and the staff were friendly. The room felt comfortable, with a brand new bed, a fresh smell, and a very clean, recently renovated look. The AC was a bit noisy, but everything else was awesome. I’d absolutely stay again.

Finding a large live cockroach crawling around our room right after check-in was really disappointing. We went straight to the front desk, but no one apologized, seemed concerned, or tried to resolve it. We didn’t feel comfortable staying with bugs in the room, so we left. Customer service makes a big difference, and we didn’t get any here. I’m not coming back.

The heated pool was wonderful, and the front desk staff were sweet and very helpful. The beach is close by, too. The floors were really dirty, though, and the beds need updating.

The rooms, location, and staff were all great, and the price was good. During spring break, though, our neighbors were there to party. People were drunk, smoking weed outside, arguing at 1 a.m., and making a lot of noise. The motel style rooms are out in the open, so that didn’t feel child friendly to me. It’s probably a good place if that’s your kind of party, but it wasn’t for us with kids.
