Double Barr Cottages

My wife and I stayed in the All Aboard May 13-18. It was our first time renting this kind of cottage, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but we loved it. It felt like a proper cottage, and the beach was very close. We fell for Port A right away, and Double Barr made that possible with the place, service, and know-how. On day two my wife said, “we’re coming back here.” Thank you!

Clean cabins at a good price, in a convenient spot, and they let me bring my dog. Best part for us, no stairs and parking right outside the door.

We all enjoyed our stay. The cottage was just what we wanted and matched the listing. It was easy to find and clean. There were five of us, including three kids, and while the place was small, it didn’t feel cramped. Everyone had enough hot water to shower at the end of the day, and even the picky kids found the beds comfortable. Each room has its own AC, so it stays nice and cool with the door shut. We couldn’t find a broom, but after I contacted the host, one was outside our front door within an hour. That was great with all the kids and sand! There’s one washer and two dryers in the laundry room. Clean the lint trap so things dry faster. There’s a gas grill if you want to use it, and the pizza place next door has a buffet and friendly staff if you don’t want to cook.

The cleaning could’ve been better. The floors were sandy, and the dishes had been put away dirty. One spoon still had dried peanut butter, another had dried cereal, so I washed everything before using it. The AC filters were clogged too, and I had to clean them before the cottage would cool down.
