The houses were absolutely filthy, with mouse or rat droppings everywhere and cockroaches in the kitchen. The couch was so covered in mouse droppings that the cleaning crew, who arrived two days late, said it should be destroyed. Vacasa and Booking won’t return calls or texts. Don’t stay here or use them to plan your vacation. Go anywhere else.

We came down the first weekend in November, and the sunny, warm weather was gorgeous. Since it was off-season, we practically had the beach to ourselves. Our Airbnb in the Lost Colonies faced the ocean, so we could see the waves, and the boardwalk was less than a minute away on foot. It was so nice to unplug and relax at the Airbnb or in the waves without a schedule. Highly recommend!

We stayed in unit "146" on the second floor, and the price was good for half of the duplex. The location is beautiful, and it was dog and kid friendly, but the owners hadn’t kept up with a lot of things. The microwave sparked because its handle had been screwed back on, and the bedframes were poorly put together. There were also spurs in the grass, so walking through it hurt.

We spent Thanksgiving weekend here with 10 people and had a really good time. The temperature was nice, and the water was still comfortable enough for the kids to splash around. The white sand and great view were lovely, too. Beach access was great, and it was an easy drive from Dallas. We’d absolutely rent here again.
