Breakfast was already gone by 5:45 every morning, and half the doors in my crew’s rooms wouldn’t work. The rooms were dirty, the front desk was a problem, and the employees couldn’t manage the computer. I spend about half the year in hotels at this price, and this is the first bad enough to make me write a review. There are plenty of better places within walking distance, and paying a couple extra bucks for one would be worth it.

The location was great, but that bed was the worst I’ve ever tried to sleep on. Breakfast was a joke too: the cappuccino machine didn’t work properly, and the pancakes from the machine tasted like plastic. The key card was broken, so every time we came back we had to get the office to let us into the room with a real key. My wife had read the reviews, but the stay was still awful.

Our room was nice, though we couldn’t find an ice machine. I was surprised there wasn’t an elevator, but I should’ve checked more carefully.

Everything in the room looked brand new, with no scratches, and it was very clean. I loved the place, apart from the moldy smell.

The room was especially clean, and everyone from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance did a great job. We were happy with the whole three-day rental. Breakfast was good, and it was nice that coffee and juice stayed available later, too. The location worked well for seeing the area, and we also drove to Beaumont and Heritage Village north of the Big Thicket National Preserve. I’m glad we chose this place.
