El Coronado Resort

The room was spacious, with two queen beds and an excellent view. The beds had no comforters, though, and only one extra was available at night. We managed with two of us, but I don't know what four guests would have done. Check-in staff said we could pay $10 per person for breakfast. The next morning another staff member said that wasn't an option and didn't seem to believe us. She said the previous receptionist had left no note, so they couldn't honor it. The confusion and the staff's attitude were very disappointing.

We had a comfortable two-night stay in a beachfront room during the week in September, when prices were very affordable. The hotel sits in a quieter part of Wildwood Kruse, with great access for exploring Wildwood and Cape May. It's also easy to just walk to the beach and enjoy being there. Breakfast was tasty in the newly renovated dining area, everything was clean, and the amenities were very comfortable. The service and location were superb. We look forward to coming back!

I spent a lot on this vacation with my teenage son, but because of the lack of access to the pool, decks, and gift shop, we couldn't use all the property's amenities. It was deeply upsetting for both of us and, to me, a form of discrimination against people with mobility issues. I had to monitor my son in the pool from our balcony. I use both a rollating walker and a mobility scooter, and after canceling two other places over accessibility problems, I carefully studied el coronado's website floor plan and made MULTIPLE calls to the front desk about whether the room would work for me. The room itself was fine, but the beautiful pool area in the photos has sets of stairs on every side and is completely inaccessible. In 2025, why wouldn't a hotel/condominium in a vacation town be ADA-compliant? With all those amenities, cabanas and hot tubs, adding a ramp at one corner would cost little. None of the front desk representatives I spoke with mentioned the inaccessibility of the pool or decks. I tried 3x to speak with the manager while we were there. He was always supposedly on his way to a meeting, and even walked right past me twice. He couldn't give me two minutes. How about doing what's right and making some changes?

The hotel is right by the beach, just a minute's walk away, and had a hot tub plus pools at 9 feet, 3 feet, and 1 foot for kids. We went as a family with my brother, mom, and dad. Our room was cozy, clean, and big, with two queen beds and a pullout. One bed was by the door, the other in a separate room. There was a kitchen with utensils and plates, and two TVs. We were on the second floor, so our balcony view wasn't that good; the view would be best from the third floor or higher. Despite the price, it was definitely worth it. The only issue was that the diner inside the hotel wasn't part of the plan when booking.
