Quality Inn & Suites Binghamton Vestal

I only wanted to find out whether there would actually be a $250 hold on my credit card. When I asked about the deposit, they told me I wasn't allowed to ask, just sign, and that if I asked questions they might charge it. This went on while they were rude and kept interrupting me. My fiance came in and told the service provider he was being rude, then we were told to leave and refused service. I had every right to ask. I'd stayed here before and it was fine, but I'll never go back after this.

This was an emergency stop because of road trouble, and picking this hotel over others in the Binghamton area was a serious mistake. The vending machines didn't work, so I had to drink sink water. I want a refund for the remainder of my stay as of December 28, 2025. This was the worst hotel experience I've had, and I wouldn't recommend the property until it's deeply cleaned and extensively renovated. They put me in five different rooms because of problems including key cards that didn't work, broken thermostats in 20°F weather, TVs that wouldn't work, and lighting failures. Worst of all, there was NO HOT WATER. I found only lukewarm water late in the evening and reported it to the front desk. Staff tried, but couldn't fix it. Charging guests without providing hot water is unacceptable.

I stayed four nights, but housekeeping never came to ask if I needed toilet paper, towels, or washcloths. The fire alarm kept going off for about an hour, and they said they were just testing it. Breakfast was okay, just coffee, toast, apples, cereal, and waffles. I guess you get what you pay for. The lobby bathroom was awful too, with holes in the baseboards and water damage discoloring the ceiling.

They hung up on me twice when I called to ask about cancelling my reservation. Hours later they called back, but I missed it. I called again and told the man who answered that I'd just missed their call and had been hung up on earlier. He hung up on me again. When I called back to ask why, he said he'd do the same if someone else there had hung up on me, because they felt I was confusing them. Um, WHAT?! He finally transferred me to the manager, who was the same man who'd hung up earlier. He asked if he had my permission to cancel the reservation. I said yes, and he said it was done. What horrible customer service. They seemed to think I was trying to confuse them because English isn't their first language. I was polite and calm, but that clearly didn't matter. I'll tell everyone I know to stay away from this hotel.
