The room was smaller than I expected, but there was still plenty of space. I slept surprisingly well: the beds were comfortable, unlike the rock-hard hotel mattresses that usually leave my hips and back sore. The water pressure was good, and the free breakfast was really good too. Free waffles are hard to beat! Everyone working there was friendly and pleasant. They gave me extra towels and toilet paper when I asked at the front desk, and staff smiled and waved whenever I saw them. There’s also a pool and gym, though I didn’t use either. I’d book here again.

We ended up staying at the Days Inn after a bad experience here, and that visit was very positive. It’s only a few blocks away. This Comfort Inn was hard to find in the dark: there’s no visible sign on the building or at the entrance, and it sits behind other businesses in a confusing layout with construction nearby. We circled for 30 minutes despite having the exact address in our navigator. The “entrance” is like a path through a parking lot, and we had to ask the front desk if it was the Comfort Inn. We suggested adding a sign. Then the clerk quoted over $150 for a room we could book online for $85. When I pointed that out, she said, “so book online then.” I tried on my phone in the lobby, but it didn’t work. She finally told us to go elsewhere if we were unhappy, so that’s what we had to do. Good luck finding the place.

I’ve never dealt with anyone so rude, and I travel all the time. The woman working the desk on Sunday morning, 2-21-26, was condescending, unprofessional, and dishonest. For Valentine’s weekend, my fiancé and I stayed two nights. After we booked online, she said we needed a $150 deposit. We’d booked a room with a hot tub, only to be told Priceline posts fake pictures and they don’t have hot tub rooms there. When we checked in Friday, 2-13-26, a different young woman was working. She was very nice and said that because we were from out of town we didn’t need a deposit. She also said they do have rooms with hot tubs, but none were available. Today I had a room booked for 2-21-26, and the rude woman said I needed a deposit, couldn’t use my Netspend card, and that they’d changed the policy a few days ago. Now she says being from out of town doesn’t matter. The other employees don’t give the same answers about the policies. She doesn’t care about losing a customer and shouldn’t be handling situations that call for a professional attitude.

I paid extra for a room with a private hot tub, but it was dirty, with hair and dirt inside like nobody had cleaned it. The bed’s mattress cover had a strange brown stain, and the hand towel was stained too. I tried to reach management about a refund, but nobody called back. They said the manager Andrew from another location would get in touch, and he never did. The place looks shady and dirty, and it felt like they didn’t care about me. It wasn’t worth the money. I’d rather have slept in my car.

We came for a business trip to Port Huron and arrived around 4 PM to check in. The receptionist demanded a US ID card or a driver’s license showing an address. We only had our passports, which other hotels had accepted during our visit, but she insisted passports weren’t allowed. We couldn’t find this requirement on their website, so we looked for another hotel and found one. Later, the receptionist came back and said she’d checked with her supervisor and passports were fine after all. By then, her unhelpful attitude and the experience had put us off, so we chose not to stay. She agreed to cancel the reservation and confirmed it, but we later found we’d still been charged. The cost might be a little lower, but I’d advise against this hotel. There are plenty of reasons for the low rates.
