Quality Inn & Suites Port Huron

The front desk staff were really nice, and this was my second time staying here. My room was clean and comfortable, but the shower was broken. I told the front desk and they apologized. Breakfast wasn’t good, with hardly any choices, and by 9 a.m. it had been cleared away and wasn’t replenished.

The location is great, and we went outside several times at night without ever feeling unsafe. I’d been a little wary after reading the other reviews, but our room was completely clean, even underneath the mattress, which looked brand new. Breakfast was really good and the service was great. We had no noise problems and slept fine. I’d definitely stay again.

The pool area was gross and looked nothing like the picture. The floor seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, the chlorine was strong enough to burn your lungs, and the wet towels from the night before were still there in the morning. In the common area, the ceiling was leaking into a bucket with no warning signs. Our bedding was stained, and the room clearly hadn’t had a deep clean. I’m very disappointed in management. This place has gone seriously downhill, and I won’t be back.

Breakfast wasn’t great. There was a waffle maker, but the only hot choices were scrambled eggs and sausage. The rooms didn’t have a fridge or microwave either. The big issue is that there’s no elevator in this two-story hotel. What’s the point of a luggage cart if you’re on the second floor and can’t take it up? Definitely not a great stay.
