The site was a little small, but the property was well maintained and manicured, and the utilities were well placed and working great. Our main problem was the flooding. We arrived during heavy rain to find about four inches of water over our site. It cleared by the next morning, but half the property stayed underwater for our whole trip.

If you have children, I wouldn’t stay here. Children are welcome at Nova Family Campground, which is also nice and really close by. Canadians will be welcome here.

Things have changed since we were here two years ago. Maybe there’s new management, but the people in the office weren’t very friendly and gave short answers. There’s no dog park or change machine in the laundry room, and the office won’t give out quarters either. They do have a huge rack of brochures on a wall stand. I wish we’d booked at Nova instead.

We were turned away after arriving at Sun Retreats and had to find somewhere else to stay. My family and I had been looking for a nice RV park for our trip to Daytona, and at first Sun Retreats seemed perfect. We booked our lot online the day before and saw no age requirement for RVs. We have a 2012 motorhome in beautiful condition, but at check-in they inspected its age and said it had to be newer than 2015. They declined us service because it was too old, even though it’s only three years short and has all the safety features of a modern RV. That’s ridiculous.
