Days Inn Port Orchard

The room itself was clean and nice, and it worked fine for a night while we were visiting family. But the front desk woman was extremely unpleasant and unfriendly when she reluctantly removed us from a second room we hadn’t booked, after telling us we had reserved two. The continental breakfast area is tiny, with only one table. Luckily, Shari's is right across the street. Not bad for a place to sleep, but the night staff were horrible.

We come here a few times a year to get a change from home and our usual routine. The rooms are very clean and have plenty of towels and fresh bedding, and the staff have always been friendly. Ice and vending machines are easy to get to. Some rooms have a huge jetted tub and lots of space, which are the best ones. There’s a pool that seems popular with other guests, though we’ve never tried it. Breakfast is laughable, but for the price we can’t expect much.

It’s handy being right off the highway, and this is decent value if all you need is a place to sleep. There aren’t many amenities. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean, though the carpet had cigarette burns all over one section despite being a non-smoking room. There was no smoke smell. Breakfast was basic and crowded, with nowhere to sit, so we just had coffee and left. The toilet was broken and overflowed when flushed, leaving us to clean toilet water off the floor. The Jacuzzi jets in the hot tub didn’t work either, so our hoped-for soak turned out to be a warm pool.

We had a good experience and would stay again. The place was clean, breakfast was nice, and the staff were really kind. The temperature in our room was a little hard to control, and the blankets were so thin and worn that we ended up borrowing one from my mom, who lives nearby.
