Peach State Inn & Suites

I called to ask about an amenity, and the man who answered hung up on me. When I tried again, he was rude and said he was busy. Maybe the facility was busy, but that doesn't excuse the awful attitude or poor customer service.

The lobby was shut, with mattresses piled where breakfast would normally be, but I looked past that and paid for a room. When I sat down to eat dinner and pulled back the sheets, there were 3-5 bugs crawling around. I lifted the mattress and more came out. The man refunded me, but asked whether they were big or small, as if that mattered. I understand things happen, and he said the furniture was brand new and he'd already called an exterminator. Be careful, and God bless.

Nothing fancy, but the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, just what I wanted. It had a small fridge, microwave, and one-cup coffee maker. The shower was great, with two Anystream heads and plenty of hot water. I also appreciated the curved curtain rod for the extra room. You enter from outside with a key card.

You get what you pay for, and now I understand why the rates are so low. It's family owned, with two or three relatives handling the desk and cleaning. Rooms are only cleaned if you ask, and even then the cleaning isn't thorough. Breakfast ends at 9:30. At 9:35 they quickly cleared the tasteless food while we were still sitting there, without asking if we wanted anything else. Definitely won't be back.
