Residence Inn by Marriott Port St. Lucie

The overnight employee was very accommodating too, though I can't remember his name. My family had a really pleasant stay, especially thanks to Jorge, Herman, and Kim. They were wonderful inside and out, and each interaction felt genuine. You can tell they care about their work. I hope other guests get the same experience with those three amigos. Please give them a kind word. If you're booking, choose this particular location. You'll be glad you found it.

The laundry room needs some maintenance since a few machines weren't working, though I still got my laundry done. Breakfast was very good most days, but now and then some items ran low just before the next delivery. I can see how it's hard to predict guest numbers. I was surprised to see some people arrive with big bags and containers, take enough food for 5-8 people, and leave. During my extended stay, my room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were A+ across the board, willing to help with requests. We had a comfortable stay.

I found several adult-sized German roaches in the room: one crossing the rug toward the kitchenette, three on the kitchen counter, one near the toilet, one coming out of the tub drain, and two around the vanity. Luckily I had 409 disinfectant cleaner with me, so I could subdue them long enough to kill them. I was disappointed with the hotel's quality and felt it didn't live up to the brand, so I cancelled the next night. We had booked a two-day stay in a corner king room at Residence Inn St. Lucie West. The associate was welcoming and very nice when we arrived at 3:30 PM, though the lobby smelled like breakfast syrup. On my previous booking for someone else, it had smelled like wet dog mixed with unseasoned scrambled eggs. The room felt dated and awkward, with a lot of green mildew on the windows. The bathroom door hit the tub, and you had to back up against the toilet to get out.

There was loud music outside every night, all night. I didn't want to interrupt what I thought was someone's party, but eventually found out nobody was out there. They simply leave the patio speakers on overnight. The pool wasn't working while we were there, and the bathroom was in really poor shape.
