The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the TV had a great channel selection, the WiFi was fast, and the price was very affordable. The linens were the only thing that really looked or felt clean. The toilet was clogged, and when I unclogged it, pee water got all over the floor. I handled both problems myself after getting a plunger and disinfectant from the front desk. Then I found roaches in the bathroom. I killed three one evening, though I didn't see any more at other times, so that's a plus.

It's close to restaurants and Kroger, so we can walk instead of taking an Uber or Lyft. We're visiting friends in the Kingwood area and like being near everything. My family has stayed here at least six times over the past three years, mostly with great experiences. We're here now, and this is the first bad trip. Staff are usually friendly and accommodating, but this time they've been nearly aggressive and sometimes extremely rude. This morning I found a cockroach in the bathroom and killed it before it could run away. There are gaps missing in the “wood” floor, the ice container was so filthy the plastic bag stuck to it, and the fire alarm is literally taped on and doesn't seem to work. I added photos of those problems, except for the roach.

The roaches were everywhere, so bad they were on my kids' faces at night. My babies had to sleep with hundreds of them. I'll include photos and share videos on Facebook. We left the hotel how we found it and didn't use the full time we'd booked. They still charged the $50 hold after we left. I'm livid about that and the lack of customer service. If they'd treated us decently, refunded the hold, and not posted it, I'd have had a lot more respect for them. Right now I think they genuinely don't care. The charge on top of what happened makes me even angrier.

I was there for one night and saw at least 50 cockroaches. Absolutely disgusting. When we first entered the room, it smelled like a gas chamber full of cleaners. They hadn't aired it out at all. The staff were disrespectful, and the place is infested with roaches. I can't give it zero stars, so it's a one.
