Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Downtown

My kids loved the pool and hot tubs, and the room was awesome. Breakfast was amazing, and the staff were top notch. I’d stay here again if I go back to Portland. We did have some noise trouble the first night. People were loud until 2:30am. I called the front desk around 1am, and they said they’d ask them to quiet down. They stayed loud, but it is what it is. Parking can be valet in the hotel’s own garage for a modest fee, or free street parking around the sides if you’re lucky enough to find a spot after 7. During the day, street parking costs money. If you’re smart about where and when you park, you shouldn’t have real issues.

The location makes this Embassy convenient for just about everything, with restaurants, bars, parks, and groceries nearby. I’d stay here again, though I’d check whether there are events in the area first. Reception and elevator floors were sticky and dirty, and the elevators are small, holding six people each. Those were the things that kept it at four stars.

We had a wonderful stay, and the service was incredible. Tayler and Steven from valet were efficient and attentive, which made a big difference while we unloaded and loaded several small children. We highly recommend staying here!

The omelettes made to order every morning are excellent. Embassy Suites downtown is my go-to whenever I’m in Portland. It has a fantastic location and spacious rooms, and because it’s such a large hotel with lots of rooms, prices stay reasonable, especially when booking directly online at hilton.com.
