Motel 6 Dickson, TN

The room was in terrible shape: flooring was coming up, stains were everywhere, and there was hair on the mattress and in the shower and sink. The smoke detector wasn’t mounted or wired, the outlets were broken, burnt, or falling out of the walls, and there was no microwave or refrigerator. We reserved and paid for a king, but got a double bed room. We hadn’t asked for a double, yet staff said we’d have to pay the difference if we wanted to stay in it. The front desk workers were rude and made us check out and back in every day because our reservations were separate, even though they were for consecutive days in the same room. By far the worst and rudest hotel we’ve stayed at. Would give zero stars if I could, and won’t book again.

The walls are thin, but the water pressure is good. The people running the place and keeping it up were wonderful, and they were so kind to us during a very stressful time in our lives. Bless them.

STAY FARRRRRRR AWAYYYYY, THEY HAVE BED BUGS. I stayed here for two weeks, paying $700 a week plus a $150 deposit. I planned to stay another week until I saw a bed bug in my bed. I went straight to the office and was told no other rooms would be available until tomorrow. Fine, I packed up. But at checkout they told me I wouldn’t get a refund for that day or the next night I’d already paid for. After they inspected my room, the staff member refused to return my deposit, saying the floor was damaged. I have video of the whole room from the day I booked, and the floor was already like that. After I called corporate and they spoke to the front desk, I was told I still wouldn’t get the deposit because of a mess my cat supposedly made. That was never the issue when I was in the office. Really poor customer service. I’ve stayed here for weeks at a time more than once, and this isn’t how guests should be treated. I spent the whole day washing and drying everything I had in that room. DON’T BOOK HERE. Try Days Inn or Super 8, the people are much easier to deal with than this terrible service.

Bed bugs, yeah. I got bitten three times, maybe four, and my dad got bitten too. We had no choice but to stay from Sunday to Saturday because we were hunting. Getting bitten while hunting feels like a curse. I killed one just an hour ago, and it was full of blood, leaving a little blood stain. They say they care about bed bugs, but why are there still bugs? The sink pressure is way off, and the microwave doesn’t spin, so we have to run food twice. There’s a weird stain behind the door, the walls are thin as paper, and I hear everything. For a week in a double room for two people, it costs something like $500. It also has a creepy vibe. The person cleaning the room keeps touching my Squishmallow, and now it smells weird, not like home. I don’t care if anything else gets touched, but my mallow is off limits! The shower is low, so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone over six feet. If my dad had booked a house, I wouldn’t have had to sleep in these conditions. It’s fine, I guess, but not for me. Tomorrow I have a six-hour drive home, and I can’t wait to finish hunting and leave. Ew, nobody wants bugs. They’d better clean this up before they get shut down over this nonsense.
