The owners made our weekend feel special with all the thoughtful details, including a tea party while we were there. My husband and I were so glad we visited. Our room was cozy, clean, and welcoming, and breakfast each morning was delicious: fresh fruit, eggs made to order, honey ham, and a warm cinnamon pastry that was dangerously good. Such a lovely spot for a relaxing little getaway. I’d definitely recommend it.

We keep coming back, and each stay seems even better. Brian and Shar make the place feel warm and friendly, and they’re happy to help with anything from dinner reservations and restaurant tips to spas and shopping. Their suggestions have always been right on. It feels tucked away, though shopping, restaurants, downtown, and Lake Coeur d'Alene are only minutes away. The rooms are nicely furnished, including a tree house room option. Breakfast is generous, the coffee is excellent, and there are always cookies and candy around. I love staying here and think you will too. NOTE: This review was for American Country B & B, which has since changed its name and is under new management.

We slept in the treehouse, and it was such a peaceful, memorable experience. The house itself is beautiful, with lots of interesting things to look at because the owners collect antiques. They were incredibly kind and welcoming hosts. There’s also a spot on Coeur d' Alene lake not far away where geese gather along the beach, which made for a great photo. If we’re back in Idaho, this would be our first choice. The area is so beautiful.

We had such a nice week here. The big sweet was spacious and beautiful, just right for us, and our hosts were lovely. I especially enjoyed the little coffee trays delivered to the room. The food was delicious too. I’d happily recommend this B &B and hope we can return soon.

Shar was a wonderful hostess, and we looked forward to her delicious breakfasts. The rooms are full of antiques and unusual groupings on the walls, which make the inn beautiful. Little extras, like chocolates left on the pillows and a tray brought up before breakfast, made our stay feel special. I can’t wait to come back to American Country Bed & Breakfast Inn.
