Quality Inn Post Falls - Coeur d'Alene

I didn’t want to stay here at all, and was very upset that I couldn’t get a refund. Walking in, there was a horrible musty, dirty smell. The bathroom floor was filthy, the sink was cracked, and trash was scattered around. There was bad water damage on the ceiling, stains all over the walls, and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. We even found a toenail. The fire alarm had a dead battery and kept going off all night. The beds were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the sheets were stained and didn’t smell washed. The soup they served was ice cold and awful. I don’t recommend staying here.

We had a clean, comfortable handicap room, and the morning team was incredibly quick to help when we mentioned needing extra pillows. They brought some within two minutes, though by then we were already up and didn’t need them. I wish I’d thought to ask again the night before to see if someone else was on duty. The person who checked us in was just okay, but the morning staff changed my mind. I’d give this place another try.

The best part of my stay was the woman who checked me in. She was pleasant, friendly, and wonderful. The hotel was clean, and the shower had good pressure and hot water, though it drained extremely slowly. The walls were very thin, and I don’t really recommend the place. A man woke me at 7:30 to ask me to renew, instead of waiting until closer to checkout. When I complained, he just smiled in a way that made it seem like he enjoyed upsetting me. He also gave me a hard time about printing a receipt Monday morning, then refused to provide one at checkout. Once I started recording him, he called the manager and spoke in a language I couldn’t understand, possibly because his English wasn’t very good. The manager told him to print the receipt. They also charge $35 for checking in two hours early.

The location worked perfectly for our state volleyball tournament at Post Falls High School, and the woman who checked us in was pleasant. It took her a long time to get to the desk, though, because she was dealing with unhappy customers. I tried to keep a positive attitude, but the place was pretty gross, and I wouldn’t recommend booking here. Most of the negative reviews I’d read before booking at the Post Falls Quality Inn turned out to be accurate. The room was dirty, with stains on the walls, bedding, and towels, fingerprints on the mirrors, and burned-out bulbs. There were odd smells, noisy walls, very firm beds, a broken shower rod, and a tub that drained slowly. Breakfast was cold, and help was very slow because they seemed understaffed.
