Riverbend Inn Post Falls

I cut our booking short by three days because I couldn't leave my infant and little kids in a room that dirty. The bathroom floor hadn't been vacuumed, the tub was covered in black hair and wouldn't stay plugged for a bath, and the room phone was moldy with no cord to connect it to the wall. The heater and AC had no knobs, so there was no way to adjust the temperature. There wasn't a fridge or microwave either, even though I needed them for my baby and had been promised a fridge when I booked. The bedding was worn out, with a torn blanket full of holes and no comforters. The advertised full breakfast was just old sausage and a little cereal, with no milk or anything else. At the desk, the women, including the manager, were very rude and unhelpful. When I politely asked about changing to a better room, the clerk said she was the manager and couldn't do anything because they were remodeling. She spoke to me like I was ignorant and didn't care about what I needed. I don't usually complain, but this was the worst hotel stay I've had. I won't recommend it and will tell people how badly I was treated.

For a basic stopover, this place worked well for us. The room was clean, the temperature was easy to control, and we had what we needed: coffee maker, fridge, microwave, shampoo and conditioner, soap, hot breakfast, and a front desk open all day and night. It isn't the fanciest place, but it was totally fine. We did have to ask for bath towels when we arrived, though the front desk sorted that quickly. Our door was open when we got there, too. I work at a motel, so I know those things can happen easily and didn't feel they were worth getting too upset over.

There was blood spatter on the door and in the bathroom, and we took pictures. The shower hadn't been cleaned either, with short black hairs all over it, even though we're long-haired blondes. The bedding was stained. I asked the manager very gently and politely if someone could clean the shower and change the bedding, and she yelled at me. She should be fired for treating people that way.

We've been here about two weeks after losing our house, and it's been working for our family. It's an older development, but everything works. The employees have been helpful and awesome, and if we needed something, they got it for us. I like the blackout curtains on mornings when I can sleep in, and it's close to the strip mall, zips, and a gas station. You can ask for a microwave and fridge, too. The hot tub is a favorite.
