The staff were friendly, and it sounds like they’re doing some upgrades around the hotel. For what I paid, the room was a nice surprise. It was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable.

The parking lot made me uneasy, with broken glass in places and a few people hanging around by parked cars. There was also a strong marijuana smell in the hallway. Staff were courteous, though I would’ve liked a little more warmth. A sign at the desk said housekeeping was available by request, probably because they were short-staffed, and that wasn’t great. The rooms looked recently renovated, which I could tell from the dumpster behind the building full of old mattresses being thrown out. But the floors, including the bedroom floor, were dirty, with blonde hairs visible throughout. The bed was so firm it felt almost like plywood, and I didn’t sleep comfortably. The shower and bathroom were the worst part. There was a dirt ring around the tub, soap scum, and a used bar of soap stuck to the surface. Short, curly dark hairs were scattered around the tub too, so it didn’t look like it had been cleaned after the last guest. The bathroom floor was as dirty as the bedroom and needed sweeping and mopping. I bought cleaning supplies and scrubbed the bathroom and floors myself, which made things a bit better, but guests shouldn’t have to do that. Basic cleanliness should be the minimum at any price. I wouldn’t stay here again or feel comfortable recommending it.

I booked two nights through super .com and paid $127, with my budget down to the penny. At the motel, the man at the counter refused to honor the booking, asked for another $100 in cash, then canceled it. I ended up with no room and no refund, so I was out $127. It’s been a month and I still haven’t gotten that money back. If you’re on a strict budget, I wouldn’t recommend booking here.

We came to Potosi for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The rooms were clean, updated, and renovated, and checking in and out was easy. It’s right by the main road, with a gas station, Taco Bell, and McDonald’s all close enough to walk to. They’re renovating the place, but it didn’t get in the way of our stay. We had a good time here for a couple of nights.
