Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel & Conference Center at Capitol Hill

I’ve been a loyal Marriott member for years, and after this stay I’ll be hesitant to book here again. We were just passing through on our way to northern Georgia for one night, but the bed made it hard to trust the hotel’s standards. The sheets clearly hadn’t been changed. There were huge brown stains from the bottom of the comforter down to the mattress, possibly from an accident or spilled coffee. It was disgusting. Maybe housekeeping didn’t want to deal with the mess, or whoever left it made up the bed to look unused, but beds should be stripped whether or not someone slept in them. The woman at the front desk was wonderful. She moved us to the room next door and even brought the keys up. I showed her the bed, and she was also shocked by how extensive the stains were. For a stay costing $300-400/night, I expected standards that reflected the Marriott brand I love. This isn’t a run-down motel, and I can’t trust that the sheets are actually changed.

The outdoor games and sports were a nice touch, and the rooms were clean and well decorated. It’s a beautiful location with friendly staff. I stay here whenever I’m passing through the area, and the place and people never disappoint. Love it!

This place impressed me at every level. It was better than any resort I’ve stayed at in Orlando, and cleaner than the overseas hotels I’ve visited. Definitely a hidden gem.

The room had plenty of space and a comfortable bed. It was nicely decorated too, with a balcony overlooking the golf course. Great place to stay.
