The lobby and bar were a beautiful place for our wedding party and guests to gather. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the staff were great and very helpful and welcoming. April, we really appreciated you taking us on a tour. Thanks to everyone for looking after our guests. Stay at this wonderful vintage hotel next time you’re in town. Until next time, bye for now.

Amy was such a hoot, incredibly friendly, and had fun recommendations for bars. She really made our stay. There’s a bar in the lobby, plus the downstairs speakeasy called Fire & Sword. Both spots serve delicious cocktails. We were hurting the next day, but that was leftover evidence of all the fun the night before! As an AZ native, I forget how many cute cities we have and need to explore more of the state. I’m so glad we picked this charming old hotel. It’s right in the heart of downtown, so everything is walkable, and there’s a free parking garage down the road. Do yourself a favor and book here, you won’t regret it. 🥃⋆˚꩜。

All the staff were lovely, which was a real plus. The location is ideal if you haven’t visited old downtown before, and the room was nice and large. The historic building is cool, and the live music was nice. The bar called the “speak easy” was fun, with good drinks and decent food, though it’s just a bar, not really a “speak easy.” The lobby and bar badly need updating. They looked like a hodgepodge of leftover chairs, and the old fashioned was undrinkable. For the price, I’d have appreciated nicer toiletries and more than one. Most frustrating was the noise. There was drag racing until 3am, and I didn’t sleep all night. I never saw the ear plugs, so please put them on the pillows or beside the bed, or tell people at check-in about the noise so they can prepare. I was highly annoyed and ready to leave. Three stars for the location and nice room.

The Hotel St. Michael made a charming base for walking around Prescott, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’ll choose it again when we return. We explored the Sharlot Hall Museum, had a beer at Founding Fathers, appetizers at Farm Provisions, then gelato from Pralines of Prescott around the plaza. We also visited Olive U for olive oil, balsamic vinegar & flavored honey, passed the love locks fence, checked out bars along the row, tried Doc’s BBQ & Whiskey, and had artistically amazing drinks at The Point Bar & Lounge. There were lots of other little shops close by too. We were there for two nights and didn’t need the ear plugs, though they’re provided for anyone who’s very sensitive to noise. The rooms are nicely appointed, although the bathroom is a little snug and cute. Staff were welcoming, and the Bistro on site serves tasty food and drinks. Our room overlooked the courthouse plaza lights, which were especially lovely at Christmas. The hotel sits in the center of Whiskey Row fun, across from the county courthouse plaza. There are little shops tucked alongside the bistro on the first floor, as well as a large open lounge with another bar and plenty of seating. Downstairs, the speakeasy styled bar has live music and apparently really was a speakeasy back in the day.

We’d love to stay at the St. Michael again if we’re back in the area. We were in Prescott for work for several nights, and although the room was quite small, we made it work. It was clean and comfortable, and that’s a fair tradeoff in a century-old hotel in a frontier town. The front desk folks were kind and helpful, whether we needed local tips or extra supplies. They even accepted a suitcase delivery when my wife’s old one broke. We felt safe, and enjoyed the old-timey atmosphere and all the places connected by enclosed alleyways, including a bistro, souvenir shops, and art stores. There are several live music spots about a five-minute walk away. The hotel is gorgeous. Its elevator is nearly as old as the building, with a gated double door, although it won’t run if someone on another floor hasn’t fully closed their door. The photos I posted were taken at night, so the alleyways aren’t that dark during the day.
